I have taught these to many of my clients all over the world, Jane in particular. She found it really difficult to get herself out of bed in the morning so that she could take advantage of training.
Jane progressed so well when she used the following tips that I gave to her that she wanted me to pass them on to all of you who may be in a similar situation that she was. Anyway, here they are…
1. Feet on the floor – take deep breaths and visualise positive goals that you want to achieve TODAY.
2. Get to training – starting means you are on your way.
3. Move your body so that it remains in motion.
4. A body that doesn’t do anything stays at doing nothing.
Have a think about these in detail in regards to your current state of fitness and conditioning.
Let’s go through it:
1. Feet on the floor…..Why? Everyone sets out of bed eventually, but what makes you different is that you have made a positive affirmation in your mind and by taking in deep breaths; you are charging yourself with powerful chi energy.
2. Get to training……Most people never get off their backsides. When you do you are streets in front of the rest.
Enough said.
3. Move your body….This is true. As soon as you get training after just a few minutes you will start to feel good about yourself and it will lead to a surge of motivation. Even if you don’t feel like it – give yourself a kick up the backside and just do it. You’ll want to keep moving because it makes you feel great.
4. A body that doesn’t do anything…Spot on, just look around you and see fat and unfit people taking a short cut to the graveyard. This is you UNTIL you get cracking on these tips. As soon as your feet touch the floor get physical immediately. Start swinging your arms up and down and sideways. Lift your legs up, down and sideways. Do some press-ups, sit-ups and squats. Do them quickly and breathe deeply.
Any idea on how this will make you feel? I’m telling you – you will feel supercharged and won’t want to lie-in anymore. You are ready to rumble and take no prisoners for the day.
You will! Just do it.
You’ll thank me for it.
Dare to win!
Who dares wins!
