I started training with Martin Day’s Combat Karate a bit under 2 years ago. I’d really wanted to learn for a while before that, but didn’t have the time. Once I did find the time to start I couldn’t stop. The self defence and conditioning techniques he taught me were realistic, powerful and improved my flexibility greatly. When I first started training I could only kick to the waist, but after just a couple of lessons my flexibility improved a lot. I can now kick head height and higher and I am nearly flat in splits.
After training with these techniques for a bit under 2 years, I am now more flexible, fit, powerful , more aware and much more confident than when I wasn’t involved at all. A major aspect for me was the improvement of my confidence which has grown in leaps and bounds. I teach in Martin’s junior class and find it a lot easier to stand out the front and demonstrate and teach large groups of students.
I can’t imagine how life was before I joined Combat Karate and I feel great with my overall improved health. Karate is now a big and important part of my life and I really look forward to every session every week. I encourage everybody to take advantage of learning and training with his Combat Karate and Fighting Fit systems and the changes that will occur to your health are amazing.
